Tim Kraus understands teaching in elementary, secondary and at the college level. He is also experienced in union leadership, organizational management, and the politics of the Cincinnati Community and beyond .

Organizational Leadership

  • Member of Board of Trustees and President of Federation of Ohio River Coops (FORC) 1992 – 1999: A $10 million Consumer Cooperative Natural Foods Distributor—merged with Northeast Cooperatives in 1999
  • Member of Board of Directors and President of Northeast Cooperatives 1999 – 2003: A $150 million Consumer Cooperative Natural Foods Distributor merged with United Naturals 2003
  • Founding Member and Board Member of Media Working Group, Inc.: A non-profit artist run media education, production, research, and advocacy organization 1987 – Present
  • Director of the Ohio Valley Regional Media Arts Coalition. Organized educational programming for independent filmmakers and assisted in marketing independent productions to Public Television 1989 – 1990
  • Interim Director of Cincinnati Cable Access Corporation Managed a small non-profit staff for a city government created Cable Access Advocacy Organization 1986

  • 15 years experience as an active CPS parent of two daughters
